Great lesson yesterday with John from the Ribble Valley. John has been salmon fishing for a few years now but wanted to improve his Spey casting. First I did an analysis of his current technique and style and then systematically introduced a series of changes to achieve the objectives.
Great credit to John he adapted and changed things very quickly and so the improvements were accepted readily. In our half day lesson we covered the basic roll cast followed by the double and single Spey in addition to a snap T and snake roll. So John is now much better equipped to handle all weather variations and fishing conditions and was casting very very well. A bit more personal practise and job done! Great lesson!
