Great lessons recently, enjoyed today's lesson with Clive from the Midlands who came up for some float tubing tuition. Almost a perfect day for tubing, light breeze and rising fish, at least for the early part of the day till the sun got too bright. Clive managed to catch his first fish in 7 years of sea fishing and obviously his first on the fly and from a tube! A good 3 to 4 lbs rainbow.

Feb 10th

At Oldham Fly Fishing Club tonight doing a presentation on Stillwater/reservoir fly fishing. Been with the group quite a few times and and they're a great bunch of guys, it's always fun
Taking a few toys with me for everyone to have a ganders. Hope it don't snow!

January/February lessons

I am beginning to receive more enquiries now for lessons prior to the Spring fly fishing start.
I teach both single handed and doulbe handed techniques, so now better time to start fly fishing for the first time or to improve your casting.

I will be doing a fly tying demo on the 19th Nov at the Methodists Chapel on Victoria Road, Horwich, Bolton at 7.30pm.

Full diary of lessons this week, mostly at my fishery with the one exception a trip on the Ribble midweek. Might be able to get a bit of time in to wet a line myself sometime over the next few days before, after or between lessons! Salmon and Seatrout are on the move!!!
