Fly tying demo

I will be doing a fly tying demo on the 19th Nov at the Methodists Chapel on Victoria Road, Horwich, Bolton at 7.30pm.
This presentation is with the Bolton fly tying group and during the demo I will be showing and tying some of my favorite Tenkara style flies. All welcome

Full diary of lessons this week, mostly at my fishery with the one exception a trip on the Ribble midweek. Might be able to get a bit of time in to wet a line myself sometime over the next few days before, after or between lessons! Salmon and Seatrout are on the move!!!

CLA game fair

Had a great time at the CLA game fair at Ragley Hall over the weekend. I was doing some casting instruction with GAIA over the 3 days. Met some enthusiastic beginners and some experienced wanting a little help with specific casting problems.
Entered my black lab Skye into some of the dog scurries, she did me proud!
Really enjoyable but tiring weekend!

Hot summer trouting

 I was on the Ribble yesterday with a couple of clients. The river is in a bad way ,we desperately need lots of rain.
Everything is clogged up with weed but if you wanted to know where your E.A. licence money goes - then this is a clue , vital river maintenance.

On the river again!

Doing some Tenkara fishing tomorrow on a local small stream - river permitting of course!

Can't wait to get the little 8ft Issui tenkara rod out and in action.
